Planting Instructions

Congratulations on your Printworks purchase with free Blue Spruce seeds.

To get started:

1) Soak the seeds for 24 hours in room temperature water

2) Fill a pot with 4 inches of soil.

• A pot with drainage holes is recommended
• Regular soil can be used, but nutrient enriched potting soil is recommended

3) Plant the seeds in pot under 1/8” of loose soil

4) Place the pot indoors in a well lit area, but not under direct sunlight

5) Keep the soil moist. Seeds should not dry out but over watering will drown your seeds.

6) Seedlings will start to grow in 2 weeks

7) Once seedlings start to grow you can move them into an area with more light, but not direct sunlight.  Using fluorescent lighting is acceptable.

1) If you have more than one seedling growing in the same pot they must be separated into different pots.  This cannot be done until the seedlings are strong enough to be moved and at least 2-3 inches tall.

2) Seedlings will not be ready to be planted outside until they are 10-12 inches high.  Estimated time is 12 months from initial growth stage
